Valas Srune'lett

It's been too long since I last drew him...And now that I have the chance to paint digital I gave it a chance..And actually I'm quite satisfied with the result..It took me about 5 hours..

Story time!


A young drow boy was laying in his bed,sleeping deep like a stone and dreamed about nothing after a hard day full of exercise and learning,beats and tinglers..All in all the normal life of a noble young drow..Valas didnt knew anything different,no lovely mother who explains him everything with having the patient of a saint...His older sister takes care of him,as its the wish of the matron of the noble house Srune'lett,6th in the high ranking of the always fighting houses for Lolth grace and reputation....
Three dark shadows entered his small chamber,turned out to be his mother,matron Phyrra,his sister and another priestess."Wake up,first born."Said Phyrra with her throaty full voice and stared down at her son with shining eyes.Lolth accorded him and therefore herself a great gift.He opened his eyes immediately and didn't dared to look into the eyes of the tall Drow woman nor in those of the two others."Matron Phyrra?"He asked,confused and curious whats going on...Also grumpy cause of the interruption of his sleep.At this day Valas was about 30 years old..which would resemble a human teenager.This day..should change his life."No questions Valas.Lolth granted you,our house a gift of unbelievable generousness!"Valas eyes widened as a he stood up with shaky legs,following the women into a stone chamber he never saw before..Marqueterie made out of Onyx decorate the old stone walls,showing the ancient history of Lolth and the Drow,how they got banned into darkness and leaded by the Spider Queen...Awe took possession of Valas as he stood in this holy,old room.The only furniture was an altar,impossible to say of what he was made of but Valas felt the strong magic vibrating in it.The strong fingers of his older sister grabbed him and fixated him on that Altar,scared his heartbeat increased and he started to pant,feeling cold fear and adrenaline flushing through his veins..He wanted to ask whats going on,but didnt dared to.
Once laying on the Altar he was unable to move and a higher force hold him there,he closed his eyes tightly and whined silently as the three priestess started to sing,spinning a net of magic over him and called for Lolth..
Dark shadows like spiderwebs spread over him and took appearance of a beautiful woman,a servant of Lolth.He could hear her voice in his head,speaking words he didnt understood but he felt the glory resonating from it.A thin surreal finger touched his left eye and the good feeling ended abrupt,replaced by a hot sharp pain,coming from his eye and reached for his brain...then he faded away into darkness...He still could hear his mother speaking."Lolth..Just gave us power,a weapon and force with gifting my son the spiders eye.."Her voice seemed to come from far away but Valas made sure he would never forget them...
Shaking he waked up and found himself in his small chamber,sure he just had a weird dream...But his eye hurted insanely.Gasping he looked into the mirror and his mouth opened as he saw his eye...Like a black mirror with the red lenses..His vision itself changed and he was able to see o much more,moved the lenses apart from each other and was able to see heat images perfectly,even had a small connection to the Astral plane with it ...His senses increased for sure..Reverent he sunk on his knees and prayed to Lolth,thanking her...
All in all he just will be a tool in his mothers hand and through him she will be the perfect tool in Lolth hand..All planned by her as she spins her endless nets of fate...

Valas himself always carries that day in his heart,as a curse and a gift.His bloodlust is uncontrollable and his wish to kill fills him out and makes him more happy then everything..besides from sharing the bed maybe...
